Seller Questions

The Official Chase Center Membership Marketplace has been created to make the process of selling memberships as seamless as possible. This marketplace will offer the only verified platform to safely and securely handle all transfer details, including payment. The marketplace will allow you to connect with the buyer anonymously and will streamline all logistics for the transfer.

Each new listing is set to automatically expire after 180 days, but members may renew the listing at any time for an additional 180 days. Accounts must be compliant and in good standing in order to be listed on the marketplace.

You will be able to create separate listings for any increments up to your total number of seats. Within each listing, you will also be able to make a note that adjacent seats are available if you so choose.

The Marketplace provides a message center for buyers and sellers to communicate about listings. All negotiations are private and anonymous so no contact information is allowed to be shared.

Beginning January 1, 2022, the Marketplace is required by law (The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), P.L. 117-2) to issue a Form 1099-K to the IRS for all sellers who complete $600 or more in sales in a calendar year.  Sellers will be required to submit the appropriate taxpayer information as part of the sales process.  If the information is not appropriately entered, the Marketplace will contact the seller to input the appropriate taxpayer information into the account.  The 1099-K will be filed in January of the following calendar year (for example all sales from 2022 will be reported in January 2023).  

Buyer Questions

The Official Chase Center Membership Marketplace has been created to make the process of buying memberships as seamless as possible. This marketplace will offer the only verified platform to safely and securely handle all transfer details, including payment. The marketplace will allow you to connect with the seller anonymously and will streamline all logistics for the transfer.

If your transfer cannot be completed for any reason, you will be notified by the Warriors.

If you do not want to purchase all the seats in a listing, you may message the seller via the envelope icon next to the listing in the marketplace with your proposed offer. If the seller agrees, they will create a separate listing for the seats you wish to purchase.

Private Transfer Questions

The Official Chase Center Membership Marketplace has been created to make the process of transferring memberships as seamless as possible. This marketplace will offer the only verified platform to safely and securely handle all transfer details, including payment, and will streamline all logistics for the transfer.

Transferring ownership of your memberships is done through the Official Chase Center Membership Marketplace. This marketplace provides a quick and convenient online transfer process called Private Transfers.  Simply click on Private Transfers in the main tool bar and choose which type of transfer fits your needs.  The transfer must be initiated by the current owner/season ticket member.

You can transfer any number of seats on your accounts. The New Owner is responsible for the transfer fee for each transferred Membership.

Yes, a Membership can be transferred provided the current owner is compliant with the Membership payments and the new member accepts the remaining payment obligation.

There will be a $100 per membership administrative fee for any transfer, which will be the responsibility of the transferee. 

The fee for a Private Sale Transfer is 5% of the cash sale price.  All fees are paid by the New Owner (Buyer). 

A Private Transfer is a transfer of ownership of memberships to a friend, family member or someone you already know and trust. The fee for a Private Transfer is $100 per membership and is paid by the new owner.

A Private Sale Transfer is a transfer of ownership of Memberships arising from a sale arranged outside of the marketplace. The Chase Center Membership Marketplace will hold the buyer’s/new owner’s money until the transfer is approved by the Golden State Warriors. Once the transfer is approved by the Warriors, the current owner (seller)/season ticket member will receive the funds. The fee for a Private Sale Transfer is 5% of the sale price. All fees are paid by the buyer/new owner.
